A PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) feeding tube is feeding tube placed through the skin and the stomach wall which directly goes directly into the stomach. PEG feeding tube insertion is done in part using a procedure called endoscopy to provided nutrition when patients are unable to eat or drink.
